In January of 2002, SkyLink
Systems was awarded a CRDA, Cooperative Research and Development
Agreement to develop the most comprehensive aviation security
systems ever created. Although SkyLink Systems is prohibited
from mentioning the specifics of the system and respective
technology, some of the features we use can be illustrated
as follows:
- SkyLink Systems has one of the most advanced video surveillance
systems in the industry. Our compression algorithms provide
a clear, crisp, high resolution image for streaming live
video and digital archiving. Our Linux based DVR servers
provide an extra level of reliability not found in most
digital video recorders.
- Our two-way satellite communications network allows demonstrates
our ability to transport video, audio, and data to anywhere
in the world, from anywhere in the world, including moving
objects.
- Our high resolution digital archiving unit was developed
to meet the evidentiary standards developed by the department
of justice. Our archived video can be retrieved at the
touch of a button and used by the FBI, TSA, or other public
or private entities as an accepted form of evidence in
a court of law.
- The integration of biometric technology for identifying
people as potential threats or to provide employee identification
represents a proactive solution to aviation security.
Aviation security in its most complete form, must protect the airport, perimeter of the airport, and each aircraft. SkyLink Systems is the only company capable of protecting all three levels of need.
